The following are my favorite articles I read on Medium this month, in chronological order based on when I happened to come across them.

This piece from Natasha Nichole Lake reveals the five questions she asked herself in order to change the trajectory of her life. She was able to realign herself in relation to her values and passions, and so can you!

In this article, Yana Bostongirl describes the healing power of sharing her story of depression. Often inspired by people’s life stories, she was surprised and honored to serve as that same inspiration for others and to spread the message that there is always hope.

To Grow Up Looking White With A Black Mother In Urban America

This is a fantastic read from KL Simmons. She describes her experience as a person with fair skin being raised by a Black mother. As a biracial woman myself, with two very fair children, I was interested to learn about how people reacted to her, and how she felt about herself.
