I, too, have a DREAM

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! For many of us, it was a long weekend, as we celebrated the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK Day, US).

I’m sure many of us have heard snippets from King’s “I have a dream” speech. But people often leave out the important context of that speech.

King delivered his most famous speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. This event, this speech, was not just about racial justice, but about economic justice.

As we move into 2023, I am considering my own dream — to help Black women achieve financial freedom and build generational wealth. To that end, I am building out the 2023 vision for my business, Getting Black Women Paid.

It strikes me, dear reader, that perhaps the best way to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy is to attain your own financial freedom.

So, what is your dream? What is your vision for 2023?

I’d love to hear about your vision in the comments!

If you’d like some help in developing your vision, consider joining the Claim Yours Community. We will be working through a visioning exercise at our kickoff this Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 AM CST. Claim the Founding Member discount by applying before Friday, January 20th at 11:59 PM CST.
