In the ever-evolving landscape of personal finance and well-being, it’s crucial that we continuously reassess our goals and expectations. Remember back in 2010 when a study suggested that increased income was correlated with increased happiness only up to $75,000 per year? Well, fast forward to today, and the game has changed!

An updated study now suggests that the magic number is closer to $500,000 annually for optimal well-being. Times have changed, and our aspirations should, too. It’s time to reframe our thinking and strive for something even more remarkable.

Many of us, including my clients and other Black women, have often heard the traditional milestone of achieving a six-figure income as the ultimate financial success. But in today’s dynamic economy, $100,000 might not cut it anymore. It’s time to set our sights on a new goal: let’s become millionaires!

Why aim for six figures when you can aim for seven? Becoming a millionaire isn’t just about the money — it’s about financial freedom, security, and the ability to pursue your dreams without constraints.
