Welcome back to our series on reducing stress for National Stress Awareness Month! If you missed our first stress-reduction tip, you can read about it here.

Last time we talked about the benefits of incorporating creativity into your routine. This week, we’ll focus on the power of setting boundaries to reduce stress and live a happier life.

Of course, we know that stress can come from a variety of sources, not just work-related ones. From family obligations to financial worries to health concerns, there are many stressors in our lives that can feel overwhelming.

And while many of those stressors are outside of our control, it’s important to recognize the ones that are within our control and take action to manage them.

It’s easy to give in to the pressure to try to do it all and be everything for everybody. And while it’s admirable to be ambitious and driven, it can quickly lead to feelings of overwhelm and burnout.

One way to combat this is by setting boundaries and learning to say “no” to things that don’t align with our goals or values. This can help us prioritize our time and energy, allowing us to focus on the things that truly matter.
